Community Development Block Grant Program Director
Sherri Windham

The mission of Community Development is to enhance the quality of life in the City of Warner Robins by helping our community strengthen itself and develop towards its full potential. It is our desire to assist our citizens toward a common goal through neighborhood revitalization and economic development.

The City of Warner Robins receives from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) an entitlement funding allocation under the Community Development Block Grant Program. Click here for Application.

HOUSING PROGRAMS

Owner-occupied Housing Rehabilitation Program is designed to rehabilitate substandard single family structures for low and moderate income or elderly homeowners through the City of Warner Robins. Financing will be in the form of no interest or low interest loans. Home owner must reside in the unit.

Rebuilding Together Warner Robins pays for materials purchased to do rehabilitation repairs to owner occupied homes for the elderly or disabled residing in Warner Robins. Labor is donated by both skilled and unskilled volunteers.

M.O.R.E. Program (Military Organizing Repairs for the Elderly) offsets cost for materials needed for small housing repairs for senior citizens. Labor is donated by Robins Air Force Base volunteers.

FAIR HOUSING

The Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination in housing because of: Race, National Origin, Religion, Sex, Familial Status, or Handicap. If you think your rights have been violated, contact the Warner Robins Community Development Department office at (478) 929-1140. Funds are used to support projects which increase public awareness of federal, state, and local fair housing laws and opportunities.
